Maybe I'm the first one to say it out loud, maybe not, but either way, I'm sick and tired about hearing the spurious garbage from this so-called "parental rights" movement.
"Rights" my ass. This is the same group of people that are trying to stifle the rights of homosexuals across the country, and across the world. They're a bunch of closed minded bigots, who have no notion of propriety whatsoever. First off, I'm not going to slag anyones religion here, there are plenty of other douchebags who will do that (eminent god-haters Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens both come to mind) but guess what, yours isn't the only religion. I can be whatever religion I want, and I can uphold any tenents I want. So if you don't want me to start spewing off a bunch of garbage about how it's part of my religion that mindless bigots should be imprisoned sans judicial-process, then maybe you should just shut your mouths and consider for a moment that maybe, just maybe, we don't live in a christian theocracy, so nobodies religion gets to set public policy. I'm also tired of hearing all this garbage about "traditional" families. Fucking read a book you dumb assholes, do you have any idea what the notions of Anglo-Saxon kinship actually were in, uh, y'know, Anglo-Saxon England. No, of course you don't, because that would completely invalidate your infantile notions of "traditional". It has nothing to do with tradition, and when people claim that it does, they're just using it as a poor-facade for their own fascist ideologies. (Speaking of "tradition" did you know that the "one nation under god" tradition goes back as far as... the cold war? what the fuck? You mean when my grandparents were fighting and dying against the Nazis, they weren't fighting for "One Nation Under God"? Yeah, dickweed, read a book.) So "tradition" is right out the fucking window, unless you want me to start demanding my traditional south-african right to have multiple wives; it's certainly an older and more established "tradition" than any being claimed by this bigoted rednecks.
But you see, they've got me sidetracked from my real point here. The whole notion of parental "rights" is stupid. People have rights, but "parents" sure as hell don't have any special rights and priviledges, and even though we allow parents the lions share of responsibility for raising their child (more on that in a mo') they sure as shit don't have any rights to do it. Here it is, I'm saying it, parents shouldn't be allowed to raise their children. It should be a damned truism at this point that those people who make up the majority of the child-bearing public are some of the least capable people to raise children. Why do you think the cycle of poverty is so... cyclical? It's because stupid people raise stupid kids, and stupid kids make stupid decisions, like having more children. I could find numerous examples of why we shouldn't allow parents to raise their own children, and I'll even give you a few.
Omar Khadr: Dude is a perfect example of what happens when you let parents raise their children. Dude is even a Canadian citizen, not that anyone in our stupid assinine government seems to care. Rights? What rights? He forfeited those when he became a child soldier... er, I mean, his parents forfeited his rights, cause, y'know, dude was fifteen years old when he was apprehended. It's just an example of the poisonous ideologies that children (y'know, the easiest to program of the human robots) can be indoctrinated with.
This girl: Thanks to the media, I can't know her name, but that doesn't change the fact that her mother, y'know, the person whose "rights" the Alberta government has enshrined in law, drew swastikas on her, and sent her to school.
Fact is, when you become a parent, you don't gain any special right to poison your child, in fact, you have a distinct responsibility to your childs well-being, otherwise the government is willing to step in and remove the child from your care. It's just unfortunate that they're only willing to do so after the most glaringly obvious human offenses, like, y'know, drawing symbols of hate on your child. I don't give a shit what a swastika is supposed to mean, some "proud scottish chick" starts drawing it on her kid, it's a symbol of fucking hate. Fact is, everybody has to live with your retarded little spawn, long after you've been gunned down by the police. Sure, if you live on a Hutterite colony, that's fine, do what you want, you've got your own little society, with it's only little rules and traditions, but guess what asshats, the hutterites don't go to public schools. There's a reason we don't allow parents to beat their children anymore, why wouldn't we put the line on the moral side of mind-abuse? Well, maybe some stupid child-beater is gonna claim "oh, but where do we draw the line?" We draw the line wherever we have to, wherever the crazy "tradionalists" have forced us to draw the line. Unfortunately, in Alberta, those same "tradionalists" are in control of the pen, and they've decided that they need to enshrine their right to abuse the mental faculties of their children.
I'm not going to get any credibility with this post, but it's not like I need to be credible anyway. I speak the truth, so I can be as big of an asshole as I want to be. The truth can't change, no matter how many bullshit "rights" the cowards in the Alberta legislature feel they need to enshrine. They're all still reeling from the fact that they reached their mental peak at the age of twenty-eight. (That's right, it's all downhill from there) I've had about enough of this agist bullshit now. Our elders sure as fuck don't know what's best for us (or do all of the genocides that they've allowed in our lifetimes prove otherwise?) It sure as fuck wasn't me that turned away boatloads of jews trying to free persecution in Nazi germany, so that leaves... oh yeah, that's right, our elders, and you dare to shed tears on Rememberance Day? Fuck. Everyone in the Alberta legislature is a fucking coward, so afraid of angering an electorate that is too stupid to live, let alone worthy of placating with useless legislation. Until parents stop fucking up their kids, (both figuratively and, most horrifically, literally) they should shut the fuck up about their fictional "rights".
The post-script to all of this: Just let parents take their kids out of classes. The classes sure wont miss them, and maybe once it becomes glaringly obvious how handicapped such children have become, their parents will actually, y'know, use their god given brains, instead of letting them atrophy like their parents before them. And as if you needed further evidence of why parents shouldn't raise children: Why The Fuck Do You Have A Kid?

I think you should use your position to enact some sort of sabotage. It could be a really clever prank that somehow results in the revocation of the bill and possibly even a group hug among MLAs (and if you could get rid of the premier that'd be nice too)
maybe, just maybe, we don't live in a christian theocracy, so nobodies religion gets to set public policy.
I must disagree with you there, sir. Our religion should totally get to set public policy. And when ħkʰárwə is finally elected God-King For Life And Eternity, it will!
Fucking read a book you dumb assholes, do you have any idea what the notions of Anglo-Saxon kinship actually were in, uh, y'know, Anglo-Saxon England.
No, why, did they include dudes marryin other dudes? Relatedly, what's Anglo-Saxon for "second daddy"?
Speaking of "tradition" did you know that the "one nation under god" tradition goes back as far as... the cold war? what the fuck? You mean when my grandparents were fighting and dying against the Nazis, they weren't fighting for "One Nation Under God"?
Yeah! You show those Albertan MLAs—whoops, I mean American conservatives—who's boss! Wait, what were we talking about again?
Why do you think the cycle of poverty is so... cyclical? It's because stupid people raise stupid kids
(As we all know, poor people are poor because they're stupid.)
er, I mean, his parents forfeited his rights, cause, y'know, dude was fifteen years old when he was apprehended.
MEDICAL SCIENCE HAS SHOWN THAT THE HUMAN BRAIN DOES NOT EXIST BEFORE THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN WE CANNOT EXPECT FIFTEEN YEAR OLDS TO MAKE ANY DECISIONS !!!! I'M SORRY OFFICER MY DAD TOLD ME TO KILL EVERYONE AT MY SCHOOL WITH A MACHINE GUN WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO ??? DISAGREE WITH HIM ??? I mean, really, what adolescent would ever not listen to their parents? Physiologically impossible.
they've decided that they need to enshrine their right to abuse the mental faculties of their children.
Yeah, what the hell? Don't these morons know that only the Almighty State has the right to abuse and indoctrinate their children? I mean, if nothing else it's got lots of practice, right?
The post-script to all of this: Just let parents take their kids out of classes.
Wow, here I thought you were arguing against Bill 44...
I speak the truth, so I can be as big of an asshole as I want to be.So say we all, Tezcatlipoca. So say we all.
/Our/ Religion /should/ set policy, yes. Eventually our religions society will just take over, but it'll be so slow and gradual, nobody will notice. Sorta like how FOX became a hard-core sex channel...
Anglo-Saxon kinship was so righteously fucked up, interconnected and complicated, I couldn't possibly explain it here. But it's fucking /traditional/ is what it is, but I'm not seeing anyone who advocates "traditional families" advocating for anglo-saxon England...
Ted Morton /is/ an American. "One Nation Under God".
Your dad may not have told you to kill everyone at your school with a machine-gun, but what if he took you to your "homeland" to fight infidels? Btw: Do you actually expect me to /believe/ that /your/ childhood was the same as Omar Khadrs up until he was, uh "told to kill" (if he was, which hasn't been proven)
Because the state /only/ ran residential schools, right? Not /every other school/ in the country? (and even Catholic Schools get public funding). But who said that the /state/ should educate kids? I certainly didn't...
I am arguing against Bill 44. But I'm also saying, let retarded parents pass their retardation on to their kids. Their kids wont get good jobs, and eventually we'll have an untouchable sub-caste of retarded right-wing religious zealots. That's fine, that's where they /should/ be, right? "On their knees before god" and all that good stuff. I just shouldn't have to look at them....
